Are you worried about the strength of the suction caps?  each of these caps have 90kg (200Ibs) of holding power, thats plenty of strength to hold a fully grown person suspended off the ground or even two people!

These racks are not designed to stay on your car permanently and the suction over time will lose its vacuum, but this is easily countered by pumping up by pushing the pump button. It also acts as a gauge and when it shows white, you'll just need to do a few quick pumps with your fingers to get it right again.
